Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Widgio (widgio.app) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.
1. Who we are
Widgio is operated by Gandhi Polymers (proprietor: Ankita Bhandiya), based in India, the data controller for your information. Contact: support@widgio.app.
2. Information we collect
- Email address — if you join our waitlist or create an account.
- Widget configuration — the settings and content of widgets you create (e.g. labels, target dates, links, chosen styles). For shared "short link" widgets, this configuration is stored on our servers so the widget can load.
- Purchase information — when you buy a paid plan, our payment provider (Dodo Payments) processes your payment and shares with us limited order details (such as your name, email, country, and plan). We do not see or store your full card number.
- Usage & device data — basic technical information such as browser type and approximate region, used to operate and improve the Service.
- Local storage — we store small preferences in your browser (e.g. light/dark theme, favourited quotes, counter values). This stays on your device.
3. How we use your information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your widgets;
- to process payments, send receipts, and provide support;
- to send you the launch email or service updates you signed up for;
- to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
- to comply with legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
4. Service providers we use
We rely on a small set of trusted providers ("processors") to run Widgio:

These providers process data only to perform services for us, and some may be located outside your country. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies & local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember preferences such as your theme choice and widget state. Our payment provider may set cookies necessary to complete checkout securely.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, while you have an account, while a shared widget is live, or as required for tax and legal records. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (subject to records we must keep by law).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@widgio.app and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children
Widgio is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
